WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY - "Sword"

When making enchantments within your secret lair of a home, you may have noticed that the sword is a fun thing to change up. For one thing, you can increase the sharpness and how long it lasts, making a diamond enchanted sword one of the most powerful weapons in minecraft, but you can also get that nice blue glow that indicates you had the exp. to do something as awesome as this.

Now, in survival mode enchanting things is more of a challenge. Why? Because you have to find and kill a lot of monsters without dying for a long period of time. Then, once you have the least amount of exp. that you need, you just have to go out and kill more monsters until you get where you need to be.

The easiest way to get acquainted with enchantments without having to wait for a long time is going through the Creative Mode first. Granted you don't start out will all the exp. a person could dream of having, but it does make monster killing easier. My method:

Step 1: dig a hole 3 blocks down to fit the size of a creeper (at least)
Step 2: spawn tons of monsters by clicking on the side of the top-most block so they all occupy the same space cleanly and efficiently.
Step 3: whip out your diamond sword and start killing monsters - you can have an infinite number of any kind in there, as long as you can handle a jailbreak.

Once you have all the exp. you want or need, run back to your enchantment room, pull out a fresh, unused sword, and get to the bluish glow.

WARNING: because you have access to every single block in minecraft with Creative Mode, be careful not to deposit your new enchanted sword back to your inventory space. Doing so will not give you back your exp., and you won't be able to find the sword ever again.

Now that you have an awesome sword, you can save it for a certain boss battle in Minecraft, or you can just start using it right away. But remember, don't just bring it with you on some foolish little escapade miles and miles from home, get killed, and start kicking yourself back at your house in your bedroom. Leave it in a storage chest in the safest place you can find, and don't let any of your buddies near it on a multiplayer server - especially if they are prone to stealing awesome glowing blue swords.
